Dear Candidate,

BIT - Semester 1, 3 and 5 Examinations are postponed

Considering the prevailing situation in the country and a large number of requests received from the students,
parents and the institutes, University of Colombo School of Computing has decided to postpone all the semester
exams of the BIT (External) Degree programme which was scheduled to be held from 04th to 26th of May 2019,
by 3 weeks.
The new tentative exam dates for semester 1, 3 and 5 are given below and the revised exam time table will be
released soon, in the website in due course.

Exam Scheduled Dates New Admission Cards are Centres

Semester 1 25th & 26th May 2019 13th May 2019 Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Jaffna
Semester 3 01st & 02nd June 2019 20th May 2019 Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Jaffna
Semester 5 08th & 09th June 2019 27th May 2019 Colombo and Kandy

Please make sure that the new exam centres or examination halls may be changed, due to the unavailability of
some of the examination centres in the scheduled dates. If any student is willing to change the exam centre, you
are kindly requested to send an email to the (aredc@ucsc.cmb.ac.lk) with your INDEX NUMBER, NAME
and the SEMESTER on or before 05th May 2019. Any request received after the said date cannot be
accomplished. Any kind of cancellation is not accepted.
All the Admission cards released for semester 1 exams are cancelled and new admission cards will be released
with the new exam dates. All the candidates are kindly requested to login to your account through the BIT
Exam Portal and then download and print your new admission card. Once it is released, you are requested
to get it attested by an authorized personnel, before the exams.
If you have any issue with downloading the admission card, you must notify immediately to the External
Degrees Centre only through email (aredc@ucsc.cmb.ac.lk) with your INDEX NUMBER, NAME and
the SEMESTER.
You are strongly advised, not to wait till the last moment to download or solve your admission issues that may
cause to lose your opportunity to sit for the exams.
