Accomplishments
Throughout the year our company has overcome many obstacles and made a
great deal changes. Nevertheless, Apex has come out on top and there are
many accomplishments our department is proud of. At the beginning of the
year, we were able to work cohesively with all of the departments but we did
restructure halfway throughout the year to increase company productivity. At
the beginning of the year, we were very successful at the Tennessee Tradeshow
and have been recognized countless times for our impact marketing boards,
social media usage, and our design materials. We are happy to have been able
to help all departments reach their full potential and gain success.
Our Proud Moments
Reflecting on the past year, our department has a lot of things to be proud of.
From resolving communication issues between employees to preparing for our
first Neuqua trade show successfully we have been able to lead Apex
Entertainment in a positive direction. For example, the daily agenda slides that
we prepare to keep everyone focused on what needs to get done in order to
reach our goals. On top of that, we are very proud of the company culture
we’ve created. With the help of our HR department, we put together many
company events and morale-boosting parties. For example, we put together a
company holiday party. Attached below is a picture of all of us in festive
sweaters.
Challenges
Over the course of this year, our department was faced with many
challenges. One challenge we had before we even started running our
company was the negative connotation many people had with the name
Apex. The previous class committed fraud and we had to try and save our
reputation, which is one of the reasons we decided to rename the
company Apex Entertainment on the VEI portal. We also had quite a few
challenges this year regarding ethics. We discovered halfway throughout
the year that there were employees in our company who were finding
loopholes in the VEI international exchange and the stock market.
Although all sales and transactions were legally made we had a difficult
time explaining how loopholes can be deemed unethical and had to
discipline some employees.
Future Advice
The Executive team of a firm is greatly responsible when it comes to a
company’s success. From creating a positive company culture to keeping
all the employees focused on the tasks at hand, the CEO and CPM are the
engine behind a successful company.
Reflecting on our year, we had our fair share of ups and downs. But we
looked at every challenge as an opportunity to learn. We encourage every
upcoming firm to do the same. Things will go wrong, and problems will
arise no matter how hard you try to avoid them. It’s about how you
respond to it that really matters. Lead by example. In stressful times, like
a few days before a tradeshow for example, your employees will look to
the executive team for guidance. Staying calm and confident is key to
leading a company in the right direction.
