week period earlier this month.
The first event was held during the
weekly English speaking class on
Thursday, May 9, where the senior
citizens were surprised with a Mother’s
Day cake. This surprise celebration
delighted the seniors, and they recalled
their memories being their mother.

To celebrate the special


occasion of Mother’s Day,
a host of performances
were put up to honour
and express gratitude for
the hardships Mother’s
bear in bringing up a
child. Many of the senior
members came forward
with songs and poems
dedicated to mothers, and
some also took pride in

On Saturday, May 11 saw the

Roskill War Memorial Hall to celebrate
Mother’s day.
To celebrate the special occasion of
