 Objective:

Audio mixer circuit as understood by name is a circuit which helps to mix different audio which are given
at inputs and we get mixed resultant audio at output.

Components required:

 Potentiometer (100K)
 2N3819 Junction FET
 Resistor (4.7k,22k,470)Ohm
 Capacitors (0.1uF)
 Battery (9V)
 Breadboard
 Connecting wires and battery clip

Description of Components:

Potentiometer (100K):
A potentiometer is a three-terminal resistor with a sliding or rotating contact that forms an adjustable
voltage divider. If only two terminals are used, one end and the wiper, it acts as a variable resistor or
rheostat.

OP-Amp IC 541:
In our circuit we used this ic for audio amplifier and it is highly recommended
for this purpose in market also.

Resistor (4.7k,22k,470)Ohm
A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit
element. In electronic circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow, adjust signal levels, to divide
voltages, bias active elements, and terminate transmission lines, among other uses.

Capacitors (0.1uF)
Capacitor is a device used to store an electric charge, consisting of one or more pairs of conductors
separated by an insulator.

Battery (9V)
it’s a power source which creates potential difference across the circuit

Breadboard

Its usually a platform to make electric circuits where the components can be used again and again..

Connecting wires and battery clip

Battery connectors are used to connect battery with the circuit to supply the desired voltages.

Working:

FET is a voltage controlled device it depends on Vgs that allows the current to pass through Vds.
In above circuit we have three audio inputs connected to gate of FET(T1,T2,T3) with suitable
potentiometer of 100K which help to activate the FET.The 4.7K ohm resistor protects FET by allowing
small current to pass through it.The fourth transistor mix all the three input audio signals and give a single
output which can be heard with the help of speaker.

Analysis:

In our project we use two input audio to get a mixed audio output.initially or project didn’t run because
some of our componenets were not working properly.Then we replaced with new component after that
there was a problem in output that it was so noisy and gain was very low then by changing the value of Rf
we overcome these problems.

Applications:

 Use for making songs,musical tones e.t.c

 In a amplifer circuit , instead of using two amplifiers we can mix two or more signals and
then amplify the resultant signal.

Conclusions:

We concluded from our project that using FET or op-amp that we used in our
circuit we can mix two or multiple input audio signal as well as amplify the signal.
