 Lesson Plan in Grade 7- TLE: Mechanical Drafting (Exploratory)

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end the lesson the student have:

1. Identified the drafting materials and tools/ drawing instruments based on their uses and functions
2. Defined the drafting materials and tool/drawing

II. SUBJECT MATTER

DRAFTING MATERIALS AND TOOL/DRAWING INRTUMENTS

A. CONCEPT:

In Mechanical drafting , one must be familiar and be acquainted with the needed drawing materials and
tools/drawing instruments. This will help the students in using the following tool and materials appropriately in mechanical
drawing.

K-to-12 Basic Education Curriculum Technology and Livelihood Education, Mechanical Drafting Learning
Materials:
C. INTRUCTIONS MATERIALS:
Manila paper, construction paper, printed pictures, white glue, adhesive tape and projector

Okay so before we start our class cleans your desk first and sit property

-Who among you are familiar with the mobile game 4 pics 1 game word?
-Who among you already know how to play this game?
 -Okay so before we start our class , We will play this game first. This side will be group 1 and this side will be
group 2. Anyone in the group can answer. If you already know the answer to the given clues please raise your
hand.

- The following words that we have discovered are related to our topic for today. Lets try to puzzle it for I have

- The man is drawing a simple layout of a house plan. The outcome is neat and perfect. So, what did the man use to
create the plan or lay-out?
- Do you think it will be properly drawn if he did not use any tools or instruments?

- Bases on the pictures that I have given and the game that we played earlier, do you have any idea what is our
topic for this morning?
- So our lesson for today is all about Drawing Materials and Tools/Instruments.
- Who among you likes to draw? What are the usual things you need to when you draw?
- Do you think it is necessary to have these kinds of tools first before you start drawing something?

Before we star our activity let us first have a little hint about drafting materials and tool/drawing instuments.
MECHANICAL DRAWING- is the method of constructing a designed or an object with the use prescribed drawing
tools and instruments.
Drawing Materials= are things which are used in particular activity especially in drawing.
Drafting tool/instrument= an instrument used by a draftsman in making drawings a device or implement used by
a draftsman especially one held in the hand and used to carry out a particular function.

Strategy ( 4A`s )

 SETTING STANDARDS
a. Divide the class into four groups.
b. Choose a leader, secretary and a reporter
c. Each team will be given an envelope
d. For 5 minutes the group will be perform the activity
e. Finish or unfinished post your work on board after the given time.
f. First group to post their work on the boar will be given extra 2 points in the practical quiz.
g. Once the work is posted, the reporter will present the work.
h. After posting your work, the reporter will present the work.
i. Work quietly and cooperate with your group.
