LESSON AIMS:
- to study and practise the future forms
- to practise reading skills, arranging paragraphs in order
- to identify and practise the uses of future forms
- to practise pair work

ASSUMPTIONS:
Students must be familiar with the formation of Present Simple, Present Continuous, to
be going to and future with “will”
ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS:
If the students are not familiar with the grammar, they will get distracted and won’t be
able to do further exercises.
MATERIALS: worksheet, blackboard, cards, cd player
SKILLS COVERED: reading, speaking, writing, listening
METHODS: conversation, observation, brainstorming, SINELG

ACTIVITIES
Warm-up 5’
Aims:

 To create a pleasant atmosphere for learning;

 To get the students involved in the subject.

Procedure Interaction Timing

- T greets Ss,
 T asks questions: Who is absent today? S-T, T-S 5 min.
 Ss answer.

Aims:

 To present the objectives of the present lesson

 T. gives some worksheet papers to Ss. The Ss S-T, T-S 10 min.

Activity 1: - Reading 8’

Aims:

 to practise reading skills, arranging paragraphs in order

Procedure Interaction Timing

- T gives to Ss some cards. They represent Frontal,


paragraphs from a text. Ss have to put in order Speaking, S-T,
the paragraphs and while reading to underline T-S 8 min.

Activity 2: - Studying future forms 10’

Aims:

- to practise future forms


- to remember the formation of Present Simple, Present Continuous, to be going to,

The T names some students to read the text and to 10 min.

which of the tenses describes something fixed, a plan,
an intention, prediction based on evidence, prediction T-S, S-T
and decision on the spot. While the Ss answer the T
writes on the blackboard. The Ss write in their
notebooks.

Activity 4: - Practise future forms 7’

Aims:

- to practise the uses of future forms

The T gives a paper with grammar practice. The Ss 7 min.
