Volume Expansion The profile volume increases by at least two times (200%) if
stored in tap water at 23°C for seven days. In salty water or
contaminated water, the swelling effect may be reduced and
delayed.

Packaging Rolls packed in cardboxes, quantity depending on type of
profile.

Shelf Life Stored in cool and dry conditions and in original unopened
boxes, shelf life is at least 12 month.

Application

Substrate Preparation The substrate should be dry or slightly moist, free of Loose
particles, dust, laitance, honeycombs and protruding coarse
aggregate. We recommend smoothing of freshly placed concrete
where the sealing profile is to be placed.

Fixing Hyperseal Swell Bar profile should be placed in the centre of
the concrete section. Minimum cover on both sides must be three
inches (in reinforced concrete), or four inches (in non reinforced
concrete).
-- Connections and corners should be butt jointed.
-- During the following concreting operations, care must be
taken that the profile is completely covered with a dense
concrete without any honeycombs.

Remarks -- Hyperseal Swell Bar profiles will revert to their Original
size in case of complete drying out. However, the swelling
occurs again in renewed contact with water.
-- If profiles are to be fixed around pipes or other fixtures
(e.g. electric lights etc in swimming pools), with small
diameter we recommend mechanical fixing with binding
wire or a sleeve.
-- Do not use for movement joints!
