Verb to be

Positive Sentences
Subject + Main Verb + _________.

Grammar Rules:

 Main Verb - the present tense of the verb "to be" (am/are/is) is used.

 Subject Main Verb Complement

1st Person singular I am tall.

1st Person Plural (Others+I) we are students.

2st Person You are happy.

(Female) She
3st Person Singular (Male) He is happy.
(thing) It

3st Person Plural (Female, male or thing) They are busy.

Negative Sentences
Subject + Not + Main Verb + _________.

Grammar Rules:

 "Not" - is added after the main verb.


 Main Verb - the present tense of the verb "to be" (am/are/is) is used.
