Hola a todos,   

 
I hope everyone has enjoyed the weather this weekend! I believe as of tomorrow 
there are only 21 days left in Kinder - ¡¿Cómo puede ser?! This week we will be 
reviewing what a home address is and why it is so important to know in case of an 
emergency. Please practice reviewing your address with your child.  
 
Friendly reminder: students are not allowed to share food at school. There is also no 
gum allowed at school unless you have permission from parents and teachers. We 
have recently had a few friends bringing gum to school and sharing it with their 
peers. If you could review these rules we would greatly appreciate it!  
 
La contraseña secreta (secret password) to come into the classroom this week will 
be ​ ​“cuídate” (take care). 
 
A peek at our  In ​Spanish Language Arts​, we will continue to practice 
week  words with vowel “i” as well as build on our prior knowledge 
of words and sentences with vowels “a” and “e.” 
 
Some examples include:  
 
“Sami vive aquí” 
“Mamá mira a Papi” 
“Fifí pide la cena” 
 
Please remember how critical your nightly reading at home 
with your child is (in English or Spanish).Thank you!   
 
Week 7: allá, unas, ellos, les, doy  
 
In ​Math​, we will continue to explore addition and subtraction 
concepts in our small group rotations. We are also reviewing 
the “tricky teens” and introducing place value concepts.  
 
In ​Social Emotional learning​, as part of our Open Circle 
curriculum, we will talk about “creative thinking” and how 
this can help us at school and beyond!   
Incorporating  Many card and board games can easily be adapted to be 
more Spanish at  played in Spanish. Some classroom favorites are: Uno, 
home  Monopoly, and Go Fish (a pescar).  
 
Encourage students to use the past “contraseñas secretas” 
with you at home! Previous contraseñas: Gracias, por favor, 
buenos días, puedo ir al baño, puedo tomar agua, permiso, 
buenas tardes, me gusta, no me gusta, feliz año nuevo, yo 
tengo hambre, tengo sed, hace frío, hace calor, día del amor y 
la amistad, día del presidente, lectura por toda América, 
buena suerte, hola primavera, hola abril, gracias por venir, 
feliz día de la tierra
