We are grateful for your purchase of Fuji Electric's Peltier Gas Cooler (ZBC9).
• First read this instruction manual carefully until an adequate understanding is acquired, and then proceed to
installation, operation and maintenance of the gas cooler. Wrong handling may cause an accident or injury.
• The specifications of this gas cooler will be changed without prior notice for further product improvement.
• Modification of this gas cooler is strictly prohibited unless a written approval is obtained from the manufacturer. Fuji
Electric will not bear any responsibility for a trouble caused by such a modification.
• This instruction manual shall be stored by the person who actually uses the gas cooler.
• After reading the manual, be sure to store it at a place easier to access.
• This instruction manual should be delivered to the end user without fail.
CAUTION ON SAFETY
First of all, read this "Caution on Safety" carefully, and then use the analyzer in the correct way.
The cautionary descriptions listed here contain important information about safety, so they should always be
observed.
Wrong handing may cause a dangerous situation, in which there is a risk of death
DANGER or heavy injury.
DANGER
• This unit is not a explosion-proof type. Do not use it in a place exposed to explosive gases to prevent explosion or
fire hazard.
• When the piping is connected or cleaned, be sure to close the main valve to shut off calibration gas and sample
gas to prevent gas leakage which may lead to poisoning, fire or explosion.
CAUTION
• This unit must be installed in a place that meets the installation requirements given in the instruction manual. Use
of the unit in any other place may cause a risk of shock hazard, fire or malfunction.
• Installation, wiring and piping work should be performed by a specialist or your dealer. Improper installation will
result in damage to the gas cooler, or in electric shocks, injury, etc.
• During installation, make sure that the inside of the unit is free from cable chips and other foreign objects to prevent
fire, trouble or malfunction.
• For wiring or maintenance, be sure to turn OFF the power for the gas cooler to prevent electric shocks and injury.
• Make sure that the size of each wiring cable meets the rating of the device to prevent electric shocks and fire
accidents.
1
CAUTION
• Installation work must be performed as specified. If the unit is not earthed, it may cause a risk of shock hazard or
malfunction.
• Connect a power source that meets the rating to prevent fire accidents.
• Do not insert a metallic objects or fingers into the power terminals to prevent electric shocks.
• Before starting work, take off wrist watch and other metallic objects to ensure proper performance and to prevent
shock hazards or gas leakage.
• For piping work, be sure to use pipes and joints as specified in the instruction manual to prevent gas leaks.
• Use replacement parts specified by Fuji to ensure proper performance and to prevent electric shocks or gas leaks.
• Some pipes in the device are made of glass. Do not apply unreasonable force to prevent gas leaks.
• Do not insert fingers into the main frame carelessly. There is a risk of injury due to contact with the rotating fan.
1. OUTLINE
This gas cooler is used to dehumidify a gas to be measured. It is composed of a heat exchanging part and a
temperature control part integrated in a compact and light-weight housing.
As the parts in contact with gas are made of corrosion-proof materials, it can also be used for analyzing
corrosive gases.

(1) The main unit should be installed on a wall. Before using the main unit, make sure to place the OUTLET
and INLET joint facing up and place the Drain joint facing down. Do not use this product placed upside
down or sideways.
(2) Make sure the directions of piping inlet and outlet are correct. From drain
(3) For the lower drain outlet, use a soft pipe with inside diameter of more than 8.
(4) To drain water, use the method as shown at right.
This method is convenient because water is not lost even when the air outside
the sealed unit is dry.

(5) For operation the device, connect 100V line to the AC input terminal. Gas cooler needs to be warm up so
that gas cooler should be cool down at the setting temperature before start operation. Depending on the
temperature, warming up time is different.
At 40°C, It takes about 10 minutes to warm up. LED1 (green light) indicates the output to thermal module.
LED will not flicker due to using linear temperature control.
Depending on usage condition, LED1 (green light) may turn off due to light load, but this is not an error.
As Thermocouple (T) is connected to the terminal block C+ and C-, use it as a monitor for checking the
condition of temperature control.
LED (red light) is always On while power is On.
