Summary of the Lesson This lesson introduces students to basic knowledge of Indonesia,

its culture, language and a summary of its education system.

Objectives Students will:

Identify that Indonesia is a country (level 1)

Recognize cultural attributes of Indonesia (level 1)

Contrast American and Indonesian Educational Systems

(Level 2)

Vocabulary: Indonesia (country)/ Archipelagic Country in South East Asia

Indonesian (language)/ Malay derived language created to be a

Lingua Franca in the country of Indonesia

Procedure Before (5 minutes), (Activating/assessing prior knowledge,

- (2-3 minutes) Use Google Earth to bring up map of

Indonesia, ask class what the capital o Indonesia is, and

what Island is it on.
