LSTC-ED Algorithm

Using shockwaves to treating erectile dysfunction (ED) is a relatively

new but successful procedure which is currently being investigated
scientifically by a number of research groups. The question of many
users whether there are definitive recommended settings or
recommendations for users on how to apply shockwaves to treat ED
must therefore still be answered in the negative. Moreover the pre-
existing illnesses and the severity of ED will be different for every
patient. Consequently we have to accept that there can and will be no
uniform treatment protocol.
But what we can do is to refer to Dr. Motil’s experience with LSTC-ED
to suggest the best possible protocol for procedures using LSTC-ED with
the PiezoWave2. Dr. Motil has now mapped his experiences in the
form of an algorithm which is exclusively available to us. The
algorithm (which, it must be restated, is not a recommendation but
simply represents a guide and training for users based on experience)
makes it possible for the first time to adjust the settings and number
of “shots” to the individual patient. This is unique.

Calculating the proposed number of “shots” is quick and simple. It is

done directly on the website. After entering the patient data, click on
the “Calculate” button and the number of suggested shockwave
pulses will be displayed. The figures always refer only to the LSTC-ED
application technique with the PiezoWave2 and FBLx5G2. The
proposed preselected intensity, frequency, number of sessions and
intervals between sessions cannot be changed.

For Apple products this is done as follows:

1.  Call up the algorithm

2.  Select the icon “Add”
3.  Select “Home Screen”
4.  Select “Add”
5.  The icon “userarea“ will appear on the user interface
