Conclusion

In conclusion, the glide and manner of the Oil Distillation in accordance to ASTM Method were
defined in this experiment. Each of the components/devices/tools used in the experiment has its
own small print by way of which has its personal feature in approaches of conducting the test and
most absolutely helps the technique in the course of the experimentations. The records and
information got from the experimentation was once used to decide the proportion of distilled
quantity (RON), percentage residue (additives), preliminary boiling factor (°C) and last boiling point
(°C) by using the use of the oil pattern organized (Kerosene). The share of distilled quantity (RON) is
90.0 %. Moreover, the share residue (additives) is 8 %. As for the initial and remaining boiling points,
they are 49 °C and 97 °C respectively. In relation to the results obtained, a style design was plotted
to aid in clarification and in helping the theory. It can be determined on the format generated that as
the boiling factor (temperature) increases, the share of the distilled quantity (percentage recovery)
also increases. It can be concluded as a hypothesis, that the boiling factor (temperature) and the
proportion of the distilled quantity (percentage recovery) have a at once proportional relationship.
From that, the goals have been done which were to determine the proportion of distilled quantity in
opposition to temperature of petroleum product sample, to determine the initial and closing boiling
factors of petroleum sample, and to decide the volume of a number of fractions of petroleum
sample has been conducted in this experiment
Recommendation

To prevent physical errors caused by experiments from happening, experimenters have to focus and
be patient in keying in the data so that the process of the experiment can flow smoothly and
perfectly towards the expected results.

Early steps taken to prevent trouble or injury are important so that the experiment can be carried
out smoothly without any unwanted errors. Putting in order of importance the instrument's
condition is really important as it will affect the results. Asking the technician to check on the
sensitive measuring or recording device before starting the experiment is strongly recommended.
This will reduce the chances of dangerous results and the possibilities of repeating the experiment
due to not working correctly wirings and parts nor pieces. Also, make sure to read the lab manual
before going through with the experiment to get a brief idea on how to manage and do the
experiment. This step is really important so that the experimenters know what to do in the lab
rather than waiting for the technicians to guide them through until the end and to prevent all kinds
of sudden unplanned bad events and crashes.

In addition to that, good housekeeping of the parts and pieces and the tool or object used to do
work or measure something will definitely be on the supportive side in getting the best results.
Besides that, the preparation of the 100 mL of sample liquid you can burn for light and heat should
not be done alone as the chance of parallax error to happen is really high. However, the chance of
parallax error during measurement will strongly drop with the help of all the members of the group.
On advantage, high quality and quality of being very close to the truth or true number can be
maintained throughout the experiment.
