ALL WORKS WILL BE FOR SALE
Exhibition
Exhibits, wherever possible, will be suitably displayed in the Garden City Mall at Booragoon for
public viewing, from Monday 17 June to Sunday 23 June during shopping hours.
Details
Paintings rendered in oils, water colours, pastels or any other suitable painting medium on any subject
in traditional, contemporary, abstract including portrait, landscape or still life will be accepted.
ON THE BACK:
• Title of the painting
• Artist’s name
• Artist’s address and telephone number.
If more than one item is entered, please ensure that this information is on the back and front of EACH
ENTRY (including pairs). All entries must be for sale and remain on display at the discretion of the
Director until the exhibition closes. The information booth will be attended daily to effect sales.
Commission
25% commission will be retained by the Rotary Clubs of Applecross and Melville. The balance of the
sale will go to the entrant, approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the close of the exhibition. Proceeds from
the entry fees and commission will offset exhibition costs and will aid the Applecross and Melville
Rotary Clubs’ Community Services.
Extra Entry Forms
Entry Fee
Entrants should submit no more than four paintings in the exhibition (more than 4 is subject to
discretion of the Rotary Clubs). A non refundable entry fee of $15 per painting is required. Paintings
entered as a pair attract a hanging fee of $15 each.
One art work not exceeding 1000mm x 1000mm. All other works not to exceed 700mm x 700mm..
Entries will be displayed in the exhibition, space permitting, however organisers will not be bound to
exhibit all entries. Works must be touch dry and immediately ready to hang (with either cord or wire
fixing). Screw eyes must be protected to avoid damage to other entries.
All entry forms must be received by Tuesday 10 June 2019. Entry forms received after this date may
not be eligible for inclusion. Completed forms are to be sent, with payment, to:
Responsibility
The Rotary Clubs of Applecross and Melville will exercise care but will not be responsible for the
loss of, or damage to, any works submitted. Artists should make their own insurance arrangements.
Receiving Day
All expenses involved with forwarding to and from the exhibition shall be borne by the entrant. All
entries are to be delivered to: the Western Mall entrance off Davy Street, Garden City Shopping
Centre, Booragoon on Sunday 16 June between 6.00pm and 7.00pm. This is the only time exhibits
can be received.
Rewards
No prizes will be given. The reward for the artist is the opportunity to exhibit to the public and the
opportunity of a financial reward commensurate with the quality of the work and the appeal to
interested buyers at the sale. Every effort is made to effect further commissions.
Removal Day
All sold and unsold entries must be picked up from the Garden City Mall and signed for,
between 4.00pm and 5.00pm Sunday 23 June 2019. Receipts must be produced. All paintings
will remain in the custody of the Rotary Clubs of Applecross and Melville until the above
date and time, after which the obligation and responsibility of the organisers is discharged and
the paintings shall be disposed of as they see fit.
General
Entries not complying with the conditions of entry will not be eligible for hanging.
