Context
Describe the current business conditions that have created the Project requirement.
Currently ethio telecom uses manual record management system to control the speed limit,
fuel consumption, location of the vehicles and furthermore no system to track the driving
behavior of the drivers. As a solution Sourcing and Facility Division initiated to implement
this vehicles GPS tracker with fuel sensor system and integrating with the existing ERP
system for automated record management.

The end goal of the GPS vehicle tracker with fuel sensor sends and receives information
from mobile SMS and web manage to manage speed, Location and fuel status of the ethio
telecom vehicles.
The objective of this project is to implementing GPS tracker and fuel sensor for 1300 of the
ethiotelecom vehicles.
4. Expected Benefits
Fuel consumption
Generally the expected outputs of the project is proper fuel consumption and monitoring drivers
driving behavior and efficient vehicle speed, location and geo fence using ERP interfacing.
Describe the possible impact of the Project result (where relevant) on the areas of: Control, Risk, Organization,
Personnel, Administrative procedures, Information Supply and Technology. Also consider external impact
regarding legal and social issues and reputation, etc.
After Finalizing this project ethio telecom can manage its vehicle easily from the system
regarding their speed, location, fuel consumption, driver behaviors and other. In addition
it will integrate with ERP Fuel Management System as a result we can use this module on
ERP. It can be taken as a model for other company at country level.

Phase I GPS tracker with fuel sensor system implementation for 1300 vehicles
The hardware capacity of the system will have acapacity to serve more than 3000
The overall Communication and Web service servers and systems implementation, configuration
and customization within 6 months from the contractual agreement with
the supplier
Full system integration with the ERP fleet management system Technical expertise and
end user training
