CITY RESOLUTION NO. 2009-37

A RESOLUTION ACCREDITING CABADBARAN MEAT VENDORS

AND LIVESTOCK DEALER MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE
(CMVLDMPC) AS LEGITIMATE NON-GOVERNMENT
ORGANIZATION (NGO) OF THE CITY OF CABADBARAN.

WHEREAS, presented for consideration is a letter dated April 21,

2009 from Jose T. Calonia, Chairman, Cabadbaran Meat Vendors and
Livestock Dealers MPC (CMVLDMPC), addressed to the Sangguniang
Panlungsod Members thru Vice Mayor Robert N. Cong applying for
accreditation;

WHEREAS, the letter-request was referred to the Committee on Labor,

Livelihood and Cooperatives, NGOs and POs for study, evaluation and
recommendation;

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7160 bestowed Local Government Units

(LGU) to “promote the establishment and operation of people’s and non-
governmental organization to become active partners in the pursuit of local
autonomy” and “enter into joint ventures and such other cooperatives
arrangements with people’s and non-governmental organizations to engage
in the delivery of certain basic services, capability-building and livelihood
projects and to develop local enterprises designated to improve productivity
and income;”

WHEREAS, the Committee finds the organization as viable LGU

partner given its capacity, capability and track record being in service to the
community for quite long in area of providing livestock and other meat supply;

WHEREAS, the Committee, upon perusal of Coop’s Financial

Statement, revealed that its operation is well-established;

WHEREAS, the Committee in totality finds all submitted documents in

proper order and adequately complied all necessary requirements to qualify
as accredited NGO of the City, to wit:

1. CDA Registration
2. Constitution and By-Laws
3. Financial Statements/Accomplishment Report
4. List of Officers and Members
5. Board Resolution

NOW THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED, by the 1st Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 81 st

Regular Session assembled, to accredit Cabadbaran Meat Vendors and
Livestock Dealer Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CMVLMMPC), this City as
legitimate Non-Government Organization (NGO) of the City of Cabadbaran.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to provide a copy of this Resolution to the

Cabadbaran Meat Vendors and Livestock Dealer Multi-Prpose Cooperative
(CMVLDMPC), thru Mr. Jose T. Calonia, Chairman, Board of Directors, for
information and guidance.
