1960-1970
- Birth control was available to women
- Vietnam War (60,000 soldiers died)
- Country was tearing itself down, could have caused a
civil war
- Nixon is president and gradually ended the Vietnam
War by using Vietnamisation + More bombing + Visited
China
- Nixon created the EPA
- After his first term, Nixon was re-elected in 1962
- Watergate robbery, Nixon attempted to cover it up.
- Woodward and Bernstein, writing for the Washington
Post, connected the burglars together.
- In 1974, Nixon stepped down from presidency. Gerald
Ford became president after. Later, Ford pardoned
Nixon.
