OWWA RWO2 STAFF GETS 5S & LEAVE ADMINISTRATION COURSE

EFFECTIVENESS (LACE) BRIEFING & RE-ORIENTATION ON
PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Providing an auspicious start for 2014, the entire staff of the Regional Office 2, including
the janitorial and security personnel, underwent a whole-day briefing on January 11th.

Starting out in the morning with the now ubiquitous Japanese good housekeeping
process better known as the 5S, we proceeded to a review of our Programs and Services early
in the afternoon thus affording even those behind the frontlines the opportunity to be familiarized
with them. Alongside this was a review of the past year’s performance which saw us far
exceeding our targets. Then we breezed through the LACE, providing the participants with the
necessary guidelines on leaves, absences and other related items like tardiness, etc. The so-
called grey areas were cleared in the process.

 This activity is more in consonance with the organization’s intent of maintaining our
good standing in providing excellent service to the public and our consistent adherence to RA
9485, better known as the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007, having been awarded the much-coveted
Seal of Excellence by the Civil Service Commission in the year just past. As we went through
the 5S with the guidance of the competent facilitators from the Regional Tripartite Wage &
Productivity Board (RTWPB), rabid sentiments surfaced from among the attendees indicating
that its implementation should be a huge step towards a more improved service delivery to our
OFW-clients.

Having gone through all this, it is believed that everybody will henceforth be on his toes,
more prepared to provide efficient and effective service to all.
