Design and fabrication of vertical axis wind turbine

Wind energy is by far the fastest growing renewable energy resource. If the efficiency of a wind turbine is
increased, then more power can be generated thus by decreasing the need for expensive power generators
that cause pollution.In this project we attempt to design and fabricate a low cost Vertical Axis Wind
Turbine for production of electricity.

ACHIEVEMENTS & AWARDS

Achieved RUNNER UP in chess competition in the Annual Cultural Competition.

Achieved Town second prize in talent test conducted by Sathya sai trust.

ACTIVITIES

Participated in workshop organised on Advances in Composite Materials.

Participated in a National Level Techno Cultural fest on Ornithopter workshop organised by Aerotix at Sri
Vidhyanikethan, Tirupati.
