and lifestyle hotel on the banks of Berlin’s river Spree.

the hotel.

KARIM’S WORKS

• Guests entering the lobby step into Rashid’s creative vision:

• The check-in counters are custom-made fiber glass objects, with
amorphous forms typical for the designer.
• A field of lighted elements reminds the observer of gently sloped hills.
• The flooring consists of printed ceramic tiles.
HIS DESIGN CONCEPT AND WAY OF DESIGNING

“My vision engages

technology, visuals,
textures, color, as well as all
the needs that are intrinsic
to living in a simpler less
cluttered but more sensual
environment”
INTERIORS (BAR AREA)

The bar is made of gold-lacquered

fiberglass.

Voluptuous (bosom & pleasing

curves), organic and ergonomic
(appropriate & comfortable)
formed couches and lounge chairs
flank theMORPHESCAPE
bar.

Custom-made benches mirror the

ceiling design above them.
INTERIORS (RESTAURANT)

Pastel colors glow in the light cast through large windows and this is
supplemented by organic-shaped light installations that create a
friendly, lively mood.

INTERIORS (RESTAURANT)

Lacquered fiberglass and glass

objects in the centre of the room
serve as buffet surfaces or art
objects, as required.

The seating is equally flexible,

either connected to one another in
a communicative way, or positioned
around small tables for more
intimacy.
INTERIORS

From the lift area, to the wallpaper in the halls, through to the
floor coverings in the rooms and through this singularity of design,
the designer creates and environment that inspires.
INTERIORS (LOUNGE )

•Subdued colors and soft curves create a sensual atmosphere in the

lounge.
• Those seeking a quiet and intimate atmosphere can find it in one of
the smaller lounges, separated with glass walls.
INTERIORS (SUITE ROOM)

INTERIORS (SUITE ROOM)

•The junior suites have rounded partitions with built-in lighting that
separate the sleeping and living areas.
•The built-in, rotating television can be positioned so that the guest
always has the best possible view, whether from the bed, sofa or
fiberglass desk
