Project Description

This project was built with the purpose of hosting the Annual Meeting of the Boards of Governors of the
World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which is the most important economic event
in the world, among other future events. This project was developed by OAS who is a construction company
that meets high international quality standards, prioritizing innovation and turning the project into an
engineering reference in the country. It is worth mentioning that this would not have been possible without
its strategic partners, which are: its suppliers and subcontractors.

The Convention Center of Lima, located in the Cultural Center of the Nation in San Borja was built on a plot
of 10,676 m2 distributed strategically according to the stipulated plans. Regarding its structural design, the
10 200 workers and technical staff used metal structures and reinforced concrete structures, using
techniques such as formwork without waiting for the concrete to finish completely set, resulting in the
construction speed, homogeneity and resistance of the concrete.

The architectural design of the convention center was carried out by the Spanish company IDOM S.A. based
on the new regulation of Civil Defense security technical inspections and the current National and
International Technical Standards of that time. This design is oriented towards an integral functionality since
its purpose has been efficiency, acoustic and visual comfort. As you know, the Lima Convention Center will
be the venue for several high-profile events, which is why it has a high-tech lighting and video system with
a Tier III or Level 3 certification for its data center.
