Mientras que para el caso del cambio climático dio a conocer las siguientes cifras:
>3 mm: aumento medio anual del nivel del mar en todo el mundo en los dos
últimos decenios.
16-21 cm: aumento del nivel medio del mar desde 1900.
40%: aumento de la huella de carbono procedente del sector turismo (hasta 4,5
Gt de dióxido de carbono) de 2009 a 2013.
8%: del total de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero proceden del
transporte y del consumo de alimentos relacionados con el turismo.
Según la información por parte de los investigadores del informe afirman que las
tendencias negativas en la naturaleza continúan hasta 2050 y más allá todos los
escenarios de política, excepto para aquellos que incluyen un cambio transformador a
cauda de los impactos proyectados del creciente cambio en el usa de la tierra, la
explotación de organismos y el cambio climático, aunque con deferencias significativas
entre regiones.
