PROJECT PROPOSAL
comparison of ulip plans vs traditional plans

I. SIP Proposed:
A Project based on Study and comparison of ulip plans Vs traditional plans at Aditya
Birla capital, which helps to understand various insurance products, to find different
comparison between ulip plans and traditional plans and to find which is more beneficial
among all plans. An important component of my course is to gain a practical knowledge
about corporate world through summer internship program. I am more interested to learn
practical knowledge in the field of Marketing Sales.

II. Description of SIP in brief:


My internship profile is Marketing and sales officer (intern). My mentor is
Mr.SASHIKANTH S, who is a Front-Line Sales Manager in Aditya Birla capital
Kukatpally branch, Hyderabad and under his guidance I will be able to gain knowledge
of how the firm works in terms of providing services and the best financial solution in the
form of Life insurance.

Basically, through ABSLI I will gain the practical knowledge of Marketing and
sale of life insurance policies, the key issues regarding filing of life insurance marketing.
In the first month I will be given orientation in history of insurance, IRDA and insurance
policies so that my basic becomes strong and sales training will be given to achieve
targets and in April training on sales techniques will be given to achieve organizational
goal by selling policies and in May there will be training on Other Products Like Mutual
Funds & Shares, Channels Of Insurance Marketing – Bank assurance, Online Marketing.

Marketing-Understanding ulip plans and traditional plans, comparing the returns of


ulip vs traditional plans, Deriving conclusion regarding their suitability to target market
and need to expand customer base and supporting sales system. Insurance can also be
distinguished between Unit Linked Insurance Plans (ULIP) and traditional or
conventional plans. Before buying one has to be clear on the choice of the product. So I
will be providing the information about which plan is beneficial and important for
the customers which plan is to buy to protect them from financial losses.
III. Objective of the SIP:

The objective of the project is to conduct an intensive study on various


products and their returns and their features and to understand the life insurance and
mutual fund products helps providing solution to the customer.

By this the company can improve following factors

1. Improvement on plan
2. Determines difference of returns in both plans.
3. Expands company growth and sales.
4. Expand customer base and supporting sales system.

IV. Methodology:
A market research done on:

● To understand all ulip plans and traditional plans in Aditya birla Life Insurance
Company Limited.
● Detail Analysis of ulip plans and traditional plans.
● Comparing both the plans on bases of different parameters mainly on the
returns.
● Differentiating all the difference between both the plans so that we can know
which is beneficial to customer.
● Identifying the benefits and advantages of all the plans which helps to expand
customer base and supporting sales system .

V. V. Schedule:

Week 1: Understanding of insurance sectors and how it works.


Week 2: Knowing about various policies which are there in company.
Week 3: Understanding the sales techniques and how to sell a product
Week 4: Studying of all the traditional plans in ABSLI.
Week 5: Studying of all the traditional plans in ABSLI
Week 6: Studying of all the ulip plans in ABSLI.
Week 7: Studying of all the ulip plans in ABSLI.
Week 8: Analysis of both the plans in ABSLI.
Week 9: Comparing the ulip plans and traditional plans.
Week 10: Comparing the ulip plans and traditional plans.
Week 11: Differentiating ulip plans and traditional plans.
Week 12: Identifying the benefits between the ulip plan and traditional plans.
Week 13: Consolidating the data and preparation of final Report.
Week 14: Consolidating the data and preparation of final Report.

VI. Limitations of the Study:

● The study may have time constraints as SIP is for three months.
● As there are more number of ulip plans and traditional plans, it is difficult to collect information
about all the plans.
● The comparison of plans is only in Aditya Birla Company, so there may be missing of some plans
which are not there in company.
