Resolution to End Lease Agreement with PhilJa Building

This Resolution was resolved on April 9, 2019 @10:00 AM Café Isabelle,

Dipolog City during a regular Officer’s Meeting with ten(10) of of eleven (11)
regular members and one (1) ex-officio member present – hence, a quorum

Whereas, the IBP has been leasing a room in the PhilJa Building, Dipolog
City for several years over several terms of office of IBP Officers.
Whereas, the room leased was intended to be used as the IBP Legal Aid
Office,
Whereas, the Office of Past President Atty. Kenneth Lim, the KLim Law
Office, regardless of the existence of the IBP Legal Aid Office, serves as the
main venue for the receipt of legal aid queries, and engagement of Legal Aid
services,
Whereas, the room leased as IBP Legal Aid Office no longer serves its
purpose,
Whereas, the cost of the lease is an added burden upon the IBP Chapter,

Be it RESOLVED that the Lease Agreement covering the room leased at the
PhilJa Building not be renewed,

Be it FURTHER RESOLVED that the legal aid clerk shall officially hold office
at the Klim Law Office of the Legal Aid Chairperson Atty. Kenneth Lim.

IN ACCEPTANCE AND AGREEMENT TO THE FOREGOING RESOLUTIONS,

we have hereunto set or signatures this 9th day of April, 2019 at Dipolog

Resolution No. 05-2019

Resolution to Make Representations to Set-up

This Resolution was resolved on April 9, 2019 @10:00 AM Café Isabelle,

Dipolog City during a regular Officer’s Meeting with ten(10) of of eleven (11)
regular members and one (1) ex-officio member present – hence, a quorum

Whereas, it has been resolved that the current Legal Aid Office located in
PhilJa Building will be moved to the Klim Law Office of Atty. Kenneth Lim,
the incoming Legal Aid Chairperson,
Whereas, it has also been resolved that the lease of the Legal Aid Office at
the PhilJa Building will not be renewed,
Whereas, there is an identified need for an office not only for Legal Aid
Services, but as the office of the IBP Chapter itself and its operations,
Whereas, the Bulwagan ng Katarungan of Dipolog City would be the most
practical place to hold such an office, it being the venue of a majority of legal
activities and a place where lawyers frequently meet.

Be it RESOLVED that IBP President Atty. Diane Charlette Concha be

empowered to coordinate with any and all persons, specifically, but not
limited to the Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Courts in Dipolog City,
the Local Government of Dipolog City and the Supreme Court and its offices,
to explore the possibility of putting up a chapter office within the Bulwagan
ng Katarungan of Dipolog City.

Be it FURTHER RESOLVED that Atty. Concha is likewise empowered to

delegate the task abovementioned to any of the officers under her
administration.
