POSEIDON

He is the son of Cronus and Rhea and was swallowed by his father along with Hades,
Demeter, Hestia and Hera. However, in some folklore stories it is believed that Poseidon, like
Zeus, was not swallowed by Cronus because his mother Rhea who concealed him among a
flock of lambs and pretended to have given birth to a colt, which was devoured by Cronos
instead. I chose the almighty god Poseidon because he is a good person, controls the sea
(which I love), and his powers are one of the best to inherent. Poseidon is not one of the most
best looking gods but he has some features that’ll make a beautiful child, especially with his
wife, amphitrite.
Poseidon is always known to be the moody or evil brother, sometimes his mood would
result in violence and death. Above all those bad things he did, he was still good. When he
was in a good mood, he built islands and lands, and calm the seas. When he was in a bad
mood, he strike the ground with the trident and that caused unruly earthquakes, drownings,
and shipwrecks. I’m not going to lie and say that Poseidon is a very good guy but none of the
gods are “good”, one time in their life they probably have made someone else angry or sad.
Basically, to say that poseidon is evil is to say that a moody person is evil, being moody does
not make one evil.
Poseidon is personally my favorite god because he is in control of the seas and that
would make me control of it too. I think that if I was given the chance to create something It
would have to do with flowers and water because I think that the waters would need
something more peaceful in it. Poseidon might have given out storms and in doing so killed
many people and scared many gods; therefore, the gods would be afraid to mess with me and
my father who is known to be “evil”, most likely me as his daughter, he would take very good
care of me and make sure that no harm comes my way. Poseidon would used violence to
protect me but, if he wouldn't I would be dead and that would cause him more anger.
God of the Sea might well have been his title, but many also considered Poseidon
Greek god of earthquakes as well, for he shook the earth so vigorously so often that Hades
was afraid the walls of the Underworld might collapse under all of the shaking. He was often
associated with bulls and horses - creatures that can shake the earth fairly well themselves.
Poseidon was very powerful and most people even think that he would be as powerful as his
brother Zeus, the god of lightning and thunder.
In conclusion, I have chosen Poseidon.. because he is a good person, controls the sea,
and his powers are one of the best to inherent. Many people would think of Poseidon as an
evil god, and sometimes they are right because the punishments for many people would have
caused them to die. They also say that he is an evil god because he tried to overthrow his
brother Zeus because he was jealous of all the power. Well, like I have said before, many
people are jealous of things and wish they had it and it would cause them to break. Poseidon
just wanted to be more noticed and this is also happening in the modern day.
