IV. Course Description:

Physics is the foundation of all engineering and technological advances, It is the most fundamental of the sciences. This course deals with the long
discovered light, electricity and magnetism, and their applications to engineering ecology, agriculture, and other related fields as well as to the students’ daily
activities. Students are expected to see Physics as a lofty achievement of the human intellect in its quest to understand the world and themselves.

V. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

1. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles governing forces, matter and energy.
2. Acquire a deeper understanding of the concepts of space, mass ,time and change and their interrelationships.
3. Demonstrate understanding of the processes by which physics evolved as a scientific discipline.
4. Develop skills in gathering, analyzing and interpreting data; quantifying qualitative observations; verifying the validity of physical laws through actual
observations; relating abstract ideas with concrete experience; and applying physical principles to simple technologies and innovations.
5. Recognize both the advantages and disadvantages of science and technology in the world and themselves;
6. Develop concern for other living things and their environment;
7. Appreciate and cultivate the attitudes of a scientist, especially a physicist;
8. Develop cooperation among their group mates in performing activities; and
9. Realize the usefulness of physical theories, laws or principles;
