American educator Salman Khan, a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology and Harvard University.
 With the mission to "provide a world-class free education for anyone, anywhere".
 It is a free online e-learning organization, based on donations with a model very similar
to Wikipedia for a non-profit project.

How does it work ?

There are two apps one for kids of ages from 2 to 5 and another app for ages varying from
6 to 19 . The kids app include "thousands of original activities, books, videos and lessons" and
"combines subjects like math and reading with creative activities like drawing and storytelling. Animated
characters guide children through educational materials at just the right level for them."

The other app has more than 4,300 videos aimed at primary and secondary school
students on mathematics, computers, humanities, economics, finance ,history but mainly the
three sciences that branches into biology, chemistry and physics,. In addition to instructional
videos, it also offers practice exercises and a personalized learning panel. As students complete
exercises and watch videos, their results, medals and energy points are synchronized on all their
devices. Students can practice at home, on the school bus or anywhere without worrying about
losing their progress. It has been translated into more than 36 languages, in addition to the
Spanish, French and Brazilian Portuguese versions.

 "We worked with educators from the Stanford Graduate School of Education and notable book
authors to create a curriculum and library of original books that teach key academic skills as well
as social-emotional development and healthy habits," said Caroline Hu Flexer, head of Khan
Academy Kids, in a prepared statement. "We designed highly interactive learning experiences
around the award-winning Super Simple Songs, which feature animation and puppetry in
beloved classics like Baby Shark and the Muffin Man."
 All of the math exercises correspond to the K-12 CCSS. To ensure that the material is
rigorous and fully aligned with the CCSS, the app works with organizations that
participate in the design and evaluation of those standards. Apart from CCSS , the app
also provide AP Standards (Advanced Placement) and SAT Standards (Scholastic Aptitude
Test). For this the app partnered with the College Board, the creators of the SAT, to
create the official practice for the SAT (Official SAT Practice). The content is aligned with
the skills that students will need for the SAT and are similar to what they will see on the
day of the exam.Studying for the SAT for 20 hours in the free practice for the SAT at Khan
Academy is associated with an increase in the average score of 115 points. That's almost
twice the increase in the average score, compared to students who do not use the free
exam preparation.

 Anatomy 4D is a free app that uses augmented reality to let students interact with the
human body.
 First you should print out a 4D-enabled image of the human body or heart from the
app's Target Library. Then the app uses the camera on the device to bring to life a three-
dimensional pulsing image.
 With this application of augmented reality you can make a tour through all the systems
that make up the human body and the heart.

How does it work ?

To get started, email, print, or save any set of target images from the “Target Library”
inside the app from the main menu. Then , you’ll be ready to take an extraordinary 4D journey
inside the human body and heart. Simply point your device at the target from the “Viewer” and
watch the 4D Experience come to life.Through this free app and a simple printed image,
Anatomy 4D will transport students, teachers, medical professionals, and anyone who wants to
learn about the body into an interactive 4D experience of human anatomy. Visually stunning
and completely interactive, Anatomy 4D uses augmented reality and other cutting-edge
technologies to create the perfect vehicle for 21st century education. So much more than an
app, the Anatomy 4D experience takes viewers on a journey inside the human body and heart,
revealing the spatial relationships of our organs, skeleton, muscles, and body systems. This
simple-to-use 3-dimensional learning environment is great for use in the classroom, or anytime.

The anatomy 4D app is Designed by DAQRI , which is an American augmented

reality company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. The company’s primary product is an
augmented reality wearable technology product, DAQRI Smart Glasses, designed for the
industrial industry. They assembled the app to explore the human body and heart in intricate
detail for medicine bachelor students . Also , they Highlight various organ systems individually,
so for instance, you can focus on just the skeletal, muscular, or respiratory system and the app
has a high resolution so that you can zoom in to experience each organ or body part in-depth.

How AI works in these apps

 Artificial intelligence is now part of our daily lives, whether in voice recognition systems
or route finding apps. But scientists are increasingly drawing on AI to understand society,
design new materials and even improve our health.

 AI deals with that branch of science the objective of which is to make machines or
computers exhibit the same level of intelligence, smartness, articulation and artistic traits
as humans.

 With human input, AI systems such as artificial neural networks which can be found in
4D Anatomy app use computer-simulated networks of neurons that mimic the function
of brains . They can plow through mountains of data, highlighting anomalies and
detecting patterns that humans could never have spotted.

 The khan academy includes chatbots, a computer program used online to answer
questions and helps the learner to understand better.

 NEURAL NETWORK A highly abstracted and simplified model of the human brain used in
machine learning. A set of units receives pieces of an input (pixels in a photo, say),
performs simple computations on them, and passes them on to the next layer of units.
The final layer represents the answer.
