Relational Database
PWS_002821 [7]
Ovation Database
The Ovation system uses the Relational Database
Management System (RDBMS) philosophy
Many pieces of information in the Ovation system are
stored in the Ovation Database.
- System Configuration
- Control Algorithm Information or Control Sheets
- Process Point Database
All programming tools and user interfaces store their data
in the Ovation Database, and then the information is
transmitted to the control system
The Ovation Database is based on Oracle
Domain Concept
PWS_002821 [7]
Domain Concept
Ovation system uses the windows domain model to
logically group computer and handle security on a
network.
Security is controlled by Domain Controller.
All other drops are Domain Members
Security Policies and Database of users are stored on
domain controller and shared by domain members.
