Relational Database

PWS_002821 [7]
Ovation Database
 The Ovation system uses the Relational Database
Management System (RDBMS) philosophy
 Many pieces of information in the Ovation system are
stored in the Ovation Database.
- System Configuration
- Control Algorithm Information or Control Sheets
- Process Point Database
 All programming tools and user interfaces store their data
in the Ovation Database, and then the information is
transmitted to the control system
 The Ovation Database is based on Oracle
Domain Concept

PWS_002821 [7]
Domain Concept
 Ovation system uses the windows domain model to
logically group computer and handle security on a
network.
 Security is controlled by Domain Controller.
 All other drops are Domain Members
 Security Policies and Database of users are stored on
domain controller and shared by domain members.
 Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition operating
system
