Some people can like you from the very first talk, always stay in touch with you,

but never come up with

new hangouts or develop a real friendship. Those are called acquaintances.

Some people can meet you once, become your friends within minutes, and stay friends forever. They
call you often, meet you, make you laugh, maybe help you grow personally and career wise,
nevertheless, your relationship remains a steady one, no real attachment, no sacrifices. Those are called
friends.

Some other people can look at you once, and from the first sight, like you, love you, even suggest that
you go out after a few-minutes talk. They will defend you in front of others, make sure that you always
feel ok, sacrifice their health and wealth if needed just to save you from any situation. Those are called
brothers or sisters, from other mothers. Some can even be very pleasant and create an eternal bond
between both of you. Those same persons can be at moments very mad at you, a lot of quarrels can
arise, but they will always talk about it and solve it, because they believe in this friendship.
Those people never have bad intentions, nor do they believe in any form of love between you two.
However, sometimes you see that this friendship is too far from the real meaning of friends, and that
the relationship that you two developed has become more of an essence of life, to the point that you
would leave your family on a Sunday just to spend it with this person, if she might need you.
This ‘friend’ fills your life with so much meanings, supports you on all levels, that you cannot find
another partner that could be that great. By then you come to believe that you have attained the purest
form of love, the one that will not be broken, the one that will defend itself against all sorts of threats.
Love in this sense is not possessive, not bounded, not social, not physical. Though this person is a part of
your daily thoughts and talking to her is a daily habit, you do not relate your higher level of connection
to any habit, so if she might forget to wish you a good morning, you do not fall in the trap of analyzing
her thoughts.
You might notice that you love all her bad habits, you like the way she gets angry, you appreciate the
silly things she does or harmful words that she uses, and that any other person will irritate you should
she behave this way. You might also notice that to your eyes, this person is the closest thing to
perfection, physically and mentally. Your perception of the world changed since you first met her, and
this heavenly spirit that you call a friend will always stay perfect, no matter her age, her wrinkles, her
limitations and her crazy mind.
