STRESS R unning through staying motivated and being
optimistic, since she was in 3rd grade at
Irving Farine elementary, helped Contreas stay stress
How Erica goes through and free and focus on important subjects not anything
relieves her stress
else.
When the sophomore gets stressed, she tends
to not be phased by it; she handles stress very well. “...I
do get stressed out, but at the end of the day I end up
doing well because my hobbies help relieve my stress”
Contreas said.
Erika have many different hobbies; Her main
hobby is running. Running helps Contreas out during a
stressed environment. “When I get stressed out, I
usually run to help decrease my level of amounts of
stress” Contreas said.
The sophomore is also passionate about the
depiction of art, that also helps Erika relieve her stress.
“I also like art... the pictures sooths me which leads
me to become stress free” Contreas said.
What makes Erika continues these hobbies is
that she is always motivating herself to do
better and to be better; If It weren’t for the sophomore
mindset of motivation, she’d be knee deep in stress.
What Contreas say to herself to stay motivated is “No
matter how big the situation, I know I can get
through it”
When the sophomore isn’t in an
environment that is suitable for running or
when beautiful art isn’t around, she goes to
her phone to relieve stress. Being on her
phone relieves her from any frustrations.
“Being on my phone also helps me with
relieving my heavy levels amount of stress
and also with my frustrations” Contreas
said.
The main cause of Erica's stress is school
work. The amount of homework from 8
classes overwhelms her. The main core class
that stresses her out the most is Algebra 2;
any class that is dealing with math isn’t great
for her. “Algebra 2 is a very challenging
course to take. The tests are really hard.
Learning something new and having to
remember formulas for the hard test is hard.
When doing homework for Algebra 2 at
home and I get stressed I usually run or get
on my phone to relieve the stress” Contreas
said.
Although Algebra 2 is difficult for
the sophomore she is great in English.
English has been easy for her since Middle
School. English isn’t as pressuring and
challenging as Algebra 2 which makes her
like English even more. “I am really good at
reading because it is easy to me. The work
we do int class isn’t very pressuring”
Contreas said.
