ln view of the thrust of the Commission to exercise maximum flexibility in the impiementation of the
Continuing Professional Development Act of 2015, all concerned are directed to observe the following:

1. The CPD astivities under the category of Academic Track and Self-Directed Track (Annex K of
Eesolution No. 1032, s. 2017 and the Operational Guidelines of varioi.rs professioos] shall be
applied for to eam CPD credit units under the selfdirected and/or lifelong tearning.
2. Applicants are required to subrnit duty accomplished and notarized Application Form for
Crediting Seff-Directed andlor Lifelong Learning {Annex A} with necessary supporting
documents.
3. Applicants with Mastels or Doctorate de6rees shall 'beigiven conespondirg.CPD credit units in
accordance with their respective Operational Guidelines.
4. For other self-directed learning activities, the assigned processor shall chect the application as
to the completeness of the required documents and 'accornplish the.*rocessofs lnitial
Evaluation Form (Annex B).
5' The Professional ldentification Card {PlCi shall then be issued in favor of the applicant upon
presentation of the duly accomplished Processor/s lnitial Evaluation Form to the PIC lssuing
Officer. This shall be given back to the applicant as proof-nf submission.
6. The Application far Creditir€ S€lf-Dirested and,/or,Lifulong leamin6 shall be forwarded to the
CPD Se€retariat at the Central Offioe for the final evaluation of tlx concerned CPD Council and
for assignment of PCD credit units.
7. lfthe credit units earned are found by the concerned Councit to be lacking, the Application for
Crediting Self-Directed andlor lifelong Learning shall be forwarded to the encoder of the
Registration Division to input on the "remarks" portlon of the professional's database the
deficient CPD credit.units to be complied by the professional on the next compliance period.
L The CPD Secretariat shall email to the applicant through hlslher given ernail,address the result
of the evaluation of the concerned CPD Coyncil on Application for Crediting Self-Directed and/or
Lifelong Learning.

This Memorandum shall take effect immediately.

Please be advised that thd Commission will no longer iseue a Certificate of Credit Llnits
Eamed to applicants of Selfdirected and/pr Lifelong Leaming. The action taken by the.GPD
Council on the Application Form for Selfdirected and/or Lifelong Leaming shall be eufficient
proof for the credit units earned by the professionals in the said application. This may be
used for the renewal of their Professional ldentification Card.

Further, thg prescribed fee for Setfdirected and/or Lifetong Leamirg shall be reduced from
P1000.00 to P500.00

A copy of:the revised Application for Crediting Selfdirec'ted andor l-ifetong Leaming is
attached for ready reference.
