Job Title: Cost Engineer

Job Role Summary

Responsibilities:

 Estimate project scope using appropriate tools and systems.


 Engage design/execution/peer input as required.
 Ensure all assumptions / clarifications are properly documented.
 Provide support for any selection and optimization during project development.
 Support project team in identification, evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities and
estimate risks.
 Perform cost reconciliation to previous estimates as project develops.
 Work with Benchmarking group to develop relevant benchmarks to be included in the estimate confidence
package.

Job requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent from a recognized university.


 7 to 12 years’ experience in EPC or project management.
 Familiar with venture/project objectives and establish appropriate cost estimate basis consistent with the
objectives.
 Experienced in cost estimation or proposal execution.
 Familiarity with costing tools used in industry preferred.
 Basic understanding of project development and execution process required.
 Broad knowledge of industry standards and related work processes
 Strong organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills
 Mobile for geographical relocation without restrictions
 Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience
 Good command of English both written and spoken
 Able to work well with others in a fast-changing environment
Cost Engineer

 Estimate project scope (both directs and indirects) using appropriate tools and systems. Formatted: List Paragraph, Bulleted + Level: 1 +
 Engage design/execution/peer input as required. Aligned at: 0.25" + Indent at: 0.5"
 Ensure all assumptions / clarifications are properly documented.
