Depression and anxiety in the brain are caused by chemical imbalance. A chemical

imbalance is either too little or too much of a certain chemical that is called neurotransmitters.

Neurotransmitters are chemical Messengers in the brain where nerve cells communicate with

each other. There are three types of neurotransmitters. they are known as monoamines which play

a role in mood regulation. Serotonin is a feel-good transmitter. Dopamine plays an important role

on how your brain functions. It is involved with a personality disorder. Norepinephrine Barrens

is a hormone and brain neurotransmitter. It releases into the bloodstream and gives a body

sudden energy in times of stress. Depression is said to be a result of having too little serotonin in

the brain.

The idea that mental disorders are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain was first

proposed by scientists in the late 1950s the car. The causes are still unclear. Researchers believe

that genetic, environmental and social factors like stress or trauma are major causes. There are

millions of different chemical reactions at a time. They are responsible for a person's mood and

or feeling so there is no way to tell if someone had a chemical imbalance at the brain at that time.

There are several medications available to change levels of certain brain chemicals. It

may change the levels of dopamine, Nordine, serotonin or norepinephrine. When it comes to

mental disorders, it's hard to tell whether a drug will ensure a cure. Fore Some people, depression

and other medical disorders are episodic, which means they come and go.Medicines manic

symptoms but they can always come back.

The affected areas of the brain are Amygdala and thalamus. The amygdala is a part of the

limbic system. It is associated with emotions such as anger, pleasure, sorrow, fear, and sexual

arousal. It is activated when a person recalls emotionally charged memories, such as a

frightening situation. The thalamus is where it receives the most sensory information. It relays to

the cerebral cortex. It Direct high-level functions such as speech, Behavior reactions, movement,

thinking, and learning.
