Interview with a Vegetarian

I did an interview with Rhonda K. about
why she is a vegetarian? First I asked her why
are you a vegetarian? “It bothers me that people
eat dead animals, it's somewhat disturbing,” she
responded. Next I asked her what's your
reasoning for becoming a vegetarian? “I was
traumatized after my favorite cow, Fleck, had to
be put down for a fatal disease,” she replied.
Which makes sense how scared you’d be after
such an incident. Third, I asked why did you go
vegetarian versus vegan? Rhonda answered, “I
don't have enough commitment to go full
vegan, and I really enjoy both honey and eggs.”
Then, I asked where do you get your protein?
She answered, “I get them from eggs, nuts, and
some vegetables that contain protein.” Next, I
asked her do you miss eating meat? “No, not at
all. In fact, I enjoy not eating meat,” she
answer. I agree since I also do not personally
like eating meat either. I also asked her what's
your opinion on the definition of a vegetarian?
Rhonda answered with a not so surprising
definition, “A person that does not eat meat.” I
also asked her if she eats meat substitutes? Her
answer was simply no. I was curious so I asked
her what's the worst thing about being a
vegetarian? “Hurting people's feelings about not
eating their recipes involving meat,” Rhonda
said. Which was a surprising thing to hear since
I have never even thought about that before. So,
of course, I asked her what's the best thing
about being a vegetarian? “You can make really
creative dishes and I have supportive friends.
As well as less animals have to be killed,” she
responded. A very common reason to go
vegetarian is for animals so her response is very
reasonable. Out of curiosity, I asked her what's
your favorite vegetarian recipe? She responded,
“Basically everything not containing any form
of meat.” So she has a variety of different
choices on what to eat. Also, I decided to ask
her if she thinks everyone should be a
vegetarian? “No, its their own choices,” she
replied. It's nice to believe everyone believes
this, how everyone has their own choice in the
matter. Lastly, I asked her if she was 100%
vegetarian 24/7? “Yes unless you count
powdered seasonings with meat flavor,
although they rarely contain any real meat,” she
answered. Which makes sense since it's just a
little taste of food she had to abandon. Rhonda
has lots of interesting opinions on vegetarians
but she is still a very reasonable person.

city said that they close 10 to 15 stores every year. When the stores are
closing they aren't announcing what stores are closing , not even where

is called Canine Brucellosis, and it has been found in several cases for a veterinarian, Dr. Jeff

exposed dogs in the area. Sign of the disease in dogs are infertility,spontaneous abortions, stillbirths,

who handle blood, tissues and fluids from dogs in the birthing process are more likely at risk."We are

After The Civil War in the 1860’s
Americans in various places had begun holding
spring time tributes to countless fallen soldiers.
It's still unclear where Memorial Day originated.
But we do know that Memorial Day was
declared a federal holiday in 1971. The meaning
of Memorial Day is to honor men and women
who died while serving in the U.S Military.
Many americans spend this day by visiting
cemeteries or memorials. Some even hold family
gatherings and participate in parades. But all in
all, the most important part is to say thank you to
the ones who serve. Plus remember the
selflessness and bravery some people's loved

A 10-month old labrador retriever named
Valley may be able to help stop school
shootings, bomb threats, and other danger
headed for schools. Valley was trained to sniff
out explosives, including gunpowder. “We’re
actually talking to some school districts that are
anticipating fall rollouts.” said Gregory
Guidice, who runs Elite Detection K9. “We are
seeing more and more schools looking out for
this type of security because its proactive.”
Detection dogs are in high demand and are
cargo shipping facilities. Beaumont hospital
has used bomb-sniffing dogs for over 20 years.
Police Departments spend about
$15,000-$25,000 in the first year to buy, equip,

Lakes and likely to meet records this summer
that is a awesome thing. Soon lake Erie , Lake

If this does happen then we would have to tell
the people who live near the lakes might have
to make their docs higher in size for then the
water does not reach land and go over the top
of the dock or rot the wood. But having a high
point is a good thing because then there will be
more water and this will break a record this
summer.

wondering what you can do with your father on
fathers day. You can take him on a fishing trip
with you and listen to his favorite music. Or if
you can't go anywhere you can always stay
home and watch sports with your dad even if
you don't know what any of it means. Or just
let your father sleep in and serve him breakfast
in bed. Lastly you can fix broken cars with you
dad all day.
Father's day is a day to celebrate or
appreciate all the things your father does for
you and your family. So make him happy for a
day and do what he wants instead of what you
think he wants to do.

A New Game Is Created to Teach Teens About
Driving

A new game to teach teens about
driving has replaced a popular game called “
100 Deadliest Days.” Since the game “100
Deadliest Days” has been released there has
been a 14% increase in teen deaths. “Teens
would last longer for the obvious reason that it is
made of metal and will last much longer.
They are revisiting the situation again,
from 2011. Then, the paper bill was only lasting
around three years. An assistant director at the
GAO, John Shumann says “When we look at the
issue again this year, we found that the paper
dollar is now lasting almost eight years long.”

decision because they will last longer, a reason
why not switching and keeping the $1 bill is
because using just coins will lower the copper
supply in the United States.

Giant Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwich

Ingredients
● 2 packages (16 ounces each )
individually-portioned refrigerated
peanut butter cookie dough
● 6 whole chocolate graham
crackers, crushed
● 1 cup cold whole milk
● 1 cup heavy whipping cream
● 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant
vanilla pudding mix
● 1 package (8 ounces) cream
cheese, softened
● 1-1/3 cups creamy peanut butter
● 3 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
● 1/4 cup Nutella
Directions Preheat oven to 350°. Let dough
stand at room temperature 5-10 minutes to
soften. Press into two ungreased 9-in.
springform pans; sprinkle with graham cracker
crumbs. Bake 20-25 minutes or until set. Cool
completely.In a large bowl, whisk milk, cream
and pudding mix 2 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes
or until soft-set. In another large bowl, beat
cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth.
Add pudding and ice cream; beat until
smooth.Spread over one cookie crust. Remove
sides of second pan; place crust, crumb side
down, over filling Wrap in plastic; freeze on a
baking sheet 4 hours or until firm.Remove from
freezer 15 minutes before serving. Place Nutella
in a small microwave-safe bowl; cover and
microwave at 50% power 1-2 minutes or until
smooth, stirring twice. Remove sides of pan; cut
dessert into slices. Drizzle with Nutella.Belack,

Can Roundup Cause Cancer?

Roundup is a product manufactured by
a company called Monsanto. It is used by
farmers and gardeners to kill weeds and keep
their crops clean. “Over the past few years,
Monsanto has been involved with a lawsuit
against Edwin Hardeman, a man who claimed
that Roundup partially caused him to have
cancer. On Wednesday, March 17th, Monsanto
was ordered by the federal court to pay $80
million to Hardeman because it did not warn
users of Roundup’s harmful effects and caused
Hardeman to have cancer.” Says Youngzine.
Roundup has been used for over forty years,
but the current lawsuit may force the product
off of the market. Edwin Hardeman says he has
used Roundup for over 26 years before he was
diagnosed with cancer, and he claims that he
was not aware of Roundup carcinogenic
ingredients. One of Roundup’s most active
ingredients, glyphosate, significantly weakens
health and was determined by the World Health
Organization to be a carcinogen (a substance
that causes cancer) in 2015. That is why Edwin
Hardeman believes Roundup caused him to get
cancer.

Michigan Softball team

It never gets old for Michigan softball coach
Carol Hutchins who is in her 35th season
leading the program. Being with her team when Kentucky
they found out that they will play Wolverines
in the rush season. Michigan won the big ten
conference tournament with 3-2 win over
Minnesota last week. Wolverines have been in
the big ten only once and they lost this time to
Michigan. Considering that the start of the
season, Hutchins was shocked that they lost
against the Wolverines for the first time in a
while. They have to work hard to win and
show up to practice for then they can learn new
skills each day to win lots of their games.
Hutchins like where her team is mentally in

packing too many friends and passengers in the
