The Pacific Coast Air Museum operates out of santa rosa california. Located at the
Charles Schultz Airport. Their purpose is to teach the general public about aviation
history from the wright brothers to modern day super sonic jets. Most of
organization is composed of elderly men who grew up around aviation. Some even
worked in it. The way I joined was fairly straight forward. I went in one day and
asked if I could. Shortly after a nice lady guided me to the back room and made me
fill out some paperwork. I got my membership card shortly after. They have had a
lot of success with the annual air show and numerous banquits for retired veterans
who flew in wars such as Vietnam and WW2. Their current focus is to bring young
children and get them interested in aviation and teach them the history behind it.
They are also currently working on restoring an old hanger they lease and use that
as the museums main area.

I have learned a lot by working here. They have a little class they do every thursday
where a whole bunch of kids go and work on planes and rebuild the motors
I personally learned how to weld while working there.
