Media and Literacy

Objective:

At the end of the session the students will be able to:

 define the importance of advertisement,


 create their own advertisement using Corel8 application based on the topic given and,
 use information found ethically to satisfy the information needed.

Review

Instruction/Lesson Proper

1. Using the presentation prepared, the students will define and show example of the of
different advertising techniques.
2. Teacher will outline what to look for when evaluating advertisements. A picture will be
shown as an example of each technique will help them recognize each.
3. The teacher will now let the students do the activity.
Activity

1. The teacher will divide the class into four (4) groups containing seven (7) to eight (8)
members.
2. Using Corel8 application, the teacher will let the students create a video advertisement about
the topic they will get through draw lots (teen age pregnancy, waste segregation, drug
abuse, and bullying). They will used the video they have already taken as part of the
assignment given.
3. They will now be given ample time to do the task.
4. The teacher will remind the class to demonstrate positive attitude in creating their own
advertisements.

Presentation

If the students are not yet done doing the task, they may finish their product at home. If in case
they are done doing the task, let them present it in the class via AVR.

Assessment

The teacher will ask:

1. What do you know about advertising techniques?


2. Can you list different advertising technique?

Reflection

Journal reflection that they will create using Microsoft word.

“What did you learn with our lesson today that you did not learn about before?”
