HOW TO APPLY
By ​JUNE 8TH​, candidates will submit a ​typed​ document through google docs (send to
my email) including the following:
1. A paragraph (5-7+ sentences) stating why you want the position and how you
would contribute to the club in a positive way
2. A short paragraph (3-5+ sentences) stating what literature means to you
NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES
1. All officers must attend ​ALL​ meetings, if you cannot, please message me or the Vice
Pres. as to why you would be missing the club meeting.
2. I am pretty flexible, but I ask that you please complete tasks related to your position on
time with full effort (tasks specified below). I ​most likely​ will not be asking a lot of you.
3. Lead by example, don’t horse around during times where we are reading or watching a
movie. Hanging out with friends is welcomed, but disrespect is kinda lame.
OFFICER POSITIONS
I. Vice President
● Will replace president if she is sick or unavailable (ex. tutoring, retesting, etc.)
● Will write and report all activities to 2nd Vice President of Student Gov. (club
requirement for Broughton)
● Coordinate w/ President on plans for the club
● Will keep track of members who join the club on a spreadsheet and their
attendance (I’ll share it w/ you)
● Recruit people! :)
II. Social Media Coordinator
● Post stories and post on the club’s Instagram and Twitter to advertise the club (let
me know when you plan to post something)
● Post on our blog in the “meetings” section of Club News on our website
● Post on Remind (let me know when you plan to post something)
● Recruit people! :)
III. Artistic Director
● Will create poster for the club fair in September
● Will create flyers for any activities that should be advertised and spread them
around school
● Recruit people! :)
IV. Volunteer Coordinator
● Will handle community service opportunities for members
● Coordinate w/ President, officers, and club members on what community service
opportunities they’d like to do related to film/literature
● Contact organizations that may allow us to volunteer as a club
● Spread the word! Recruit people! :)
