Outdoors Speech

As a teenager we deal with a lot of stress. Stress with school, stress with work, and stress

with our social lives which can take a lot on a person mentally and physically. People don’t

realize that being outdoors can really help one’s mind because if you take your time to go

outdoors and relax it can reduce your stress levels and can really benefit your long term mental

and physical health. When spending time outdoors you should take a nice walk because it can

lower your blood pressure. Blood pressure can be caused by stress or sometimes it just happens

on its own, but studies show that being outdoors, and being active can really help. It can help you

maintain your ability to focus, it can help improve your memory, and it can help you become

more creative with the tasks your doing. Technology plays a part in the outdoors because of how

influential it is on whether you go or not. It's just like the weather of the outdoors. Technology

can be good when going outdoors because you can have a device that tracks your health, how

many steps you take when going on a walk, and it can get you to be more active when going

outdoors. Technology can also be bad for us because it can really draw you in and cause you to

lose track of time in which during that period of time you could be taking a nice walk, and

enjoying your time outdoors. Living on the reservation I tend to spend a lot of time outdoors. On

the reservation there is a place in the back called the Canyon it’s surrounded by many trees, it
has a lot of mountains, and it’s a good place to do things like go hiking, running, camping and

just sightseeing. Overall it’s an exciting place to be and a reason I like to go outside. When being

outdoors I get to be active, I have a place to be creative, and relieve all of my stress. Being

outdoors has showed me how beautiful nature is in a way you can’t experience indoors. The

outdoors can give you many emotions as you get to experience so much and you get to see how

much the world has to offer.

The outdoors has thousands of opportunities and thousands of experiences to give. It

benefits us in our mental health, and our physical health. It shows us many things and teaches us

much more, and it gives us time to relax before having to go back to the reality that is our secure

world. So go outside and run, dance, play and even walk but enjoy the outdoors!
