1. Introduction

A System refresh/copy consists of five sections or units of work:

1. Pre Copy steps
2. Pre Customer specific steps.
3. Restoring/Copying the database files
4. Post Copy Steps.
5. Post Customer specific steps.

1.1. CR/Work Order

Ensure that all related CR’s are approved. Cross check work order for more
information before executing any task.

1.2. BACKUP/SNAPCLONE

Ensure Successful Offline Backup / Snapclone performed for Source System, before starting
refresh activities.

If require take Offline Backup / Snapclone for Target System.

2. Pre Processing

2.1 Export RFC Destination & ALBTCMON Table

2.1.1. Pre Steps:

Take Screenshot of SM59 Transaction Code.

2.1.2. Export RFC Destination & ALBTCMON Table

Login into 000 Client, go to transaction code SE01

Transaction: SE01

 Select Request Type : Transport of Copies

 Select Request Status : Modifiable
 Press Create Button

  Select option “Transport of Copies”

 Press Ok Button

  Provide Short Description “RFC Destination Export – RFC <RFC NO>”

 Provide Target System: Same SID

 Click Save Button

You will get output like below screen

 Now Double click Transport Request No

 Click Change Button

Provide required information

Program ID : R3TR

Object type : TABU

Object name : <table name>

<table name> : RFCDES, RFCDOC, ALBTCMON

Provide input as per screen below

  Double Click RFCDES, Give * in Table Keys, Go back

 Double Click RFCDOC, Give * in Table Keys , Go back

 Double Click ALBTCMON, Give * in Table Keys , Go back

Now Click SAVE Button, Go Back

Now Release the Transport request,

Click on transport request, then press Truck Button

After export completed, you will get output like below

Now RFC Destination & ALBTCMON Table exported successfully.

2.2. Export User Master Record – 000 Client

 Login into 000 Client

 Goto Transaction SCC8
 Select Profile SAP_USER
 Target System: Dummy or Target System SID

  Schedule in Background.
 On the Info Client Export screen, document the transport number displayed with the format:
<sid>KTnnnnnnn. Save this transport request number in RDC Share Folder and also Update in
the relevant work order.
 Monitor through SCC3 transaction code.

2.3. Export User Master Record – Default Client

 If Target System is in CUA, then remove from CUA System.

 Login into Default/Particular Client
 Goto Transaction SCC8
 Select Profile SAP_USER
 Target System: Dummy or Target System
 Schedule in Background.
 On the Info Client Export screen, document the transport number displayed with the format:
<sid>KTnnnnnnn. Save this transport request number in RDC Share Folder and also update in
the relevant work order.
 Monitor through SCC3 transaction code.

 2.4. Export Printer Settings

Goto Transaction code: SPAD

 Click on Output devices.

 Take screenshot

 Click change button

 Goto EditTransferExport.

 Provide file name in “Export/Import File Name field”

o (Eg: D:\TMP\Printer_<SID>_<RFCNO>.txt)
 Select Option “Front End Computer”
 Select Option “Export” under Operation Tab
 Select Check Box “Execute export” & “Generate Log” under Options tab
 Provide asterisk (*) in Output Device under Object for export field

4.1 Install SAP License at OS level

 Install License on central instance for ALL SAPSIDs
 Login as <sid>adm
 Check and delete old license
 saplicense -show
 saplicense -delete
 Check the Current hardware key
 saplicense –get
 Check the correct License key based on Hardware key and Install license
