universe converting into useful…. Science studies what is already there …. Science cannot create universe from nothing….
Science has made many contributions to the quality of life…. Have they made life from nothing?.....Could they ever create
matter?.....
Science talks about object and sees objective side of universe…. Vedanta sees the subject, the subjective side, the person
who lives in this universe….. They should not be mixed up….. Subjective first person experience can never be explained by
science…. Science can never tell why “I” have the first person experience… Even if it comes up with the theory that
neurons fire and hence you feel conscious, it requires a “person” at the other end to listen to this scientific theory…
Without no person in the front, no scientist can ever explain anything to any one…. One simple question to scientists… To
whom you are explaining the neuron firing etc? Who is the listener? Is there any person in front of you or you are merely
addressing to neuron firing? Is these neuron firing your audience? It is absurd to think of neuron firing, brain working,
one brain addressing to another brain.
“I” am a person and not a brain nerve firing working somehow……”I” address to another “person” and not to brain nerve
located outside my brain….
“I” cannot communicate to another brain nerve complex…… “I” cannot communicate to another ‘Consciousness”….. “I”
can communicate only to another “Person”…… That “You” or “He / She / It” may be any form or even God…. The moment
“I” am to communicate, it necessitates presence of another “person” another person endowed with consciousness and
not a brain nerve system or pure consciousness…. They are merely mental constructs to experience world….
“I” am with my limited sensory perceptions. My mind is capable of processing this unreliable information from senses
and concocting stories which is called life experiences. I have to rely on these to form beliefs. I cannot think without
belief as the support. The beliefs can be over written, erased, formatted etc. But still I will be operating from one belief to
other. Certainly there will be a bias in my mind.

“I” can think of material objects, mental ideas and even space or time…. “I’ can think about consciousness also…. “I” can
think about myself….
If “I” am not there, what difference does it make whether space and time exist or not? Space and time stops at
consciousness….
They are merely mental constructs to experience world….
“I” am with my limited sensory perceptions. My mind is capable of processing this unreliable information from senses and

The beliefs can be over written, erased, formatted etc. But still I will be operating from one belief to other. Certainly there
will be a bias in my mind.
With this bias, I honestly do not feel that my understanding about God need not be like your belief. In trying to understand
God, we invariably work through Nature and work on nature to find out whether God is there and how he works etc.
Nature itself is mysterious and mind can never cope with it.
Can I ever reach the person who operates this mysterious nature?
It is this understanding and frustration of being a limited creature made elders to describe their God as Vishnu, Shiva etc
and they lived in that belief.

THIS IS MY EFFORT IN STUDYING ABOUT GOD.
“I” now understand what “I” require … It is knowledge on Brahman……Brahman cannot be dispensed…. It is Brahman alone
what “I” want… “I” want to realize Brahman …. This is my requirement….
Can Prana on it’s own accord? Can Pragna sense on it’s own accord? Only in the presence of Brahman these can act… The
very presence of God or atman or Brahman or Consciousness makes these Prana and Pragna act…..
Is time permanent? No… The time that was is not here now…. Time indicates impermanency….. Time moves or seen to be
moving or perceived to be moving…. Space seems to be fixed…..How can Space grow or diminish?
Attachment is inevitable… Love is inevitable… Seeking happiness is inevitable… On whom? To one’s own self or Atman…..
Why care for universe when the purpose is to see Atman?.....Is the neighbor trying to do evil to me?

COMMON BUT OFTEN CONFUSING TERMINOLOGIES
Atman ‐ Always refers to Paramathma. Parabrahman, Paramjyothi, witness are also used.
Jeevathma is seldom called Atman.
Pragna ‐ Atman as consciousness
Prana – Atman exhibiting life force
Surya – Atman alone. Not physical sun.
Kaalatman, Kalahatman are the two beings appearing in dreams.
Atman creating universe is akin to little girl creating and Atman associated during this is called
Brahma.
Atman sustaining universe is akin to woman protecting child and Atman associated during this
is called Vishnu.
Atman dissolving universe or removing universe from mind is akin to old lady removing
memories. Atman associated during this is called Shiva.

Prana : Nada, Prana, Jiva, Hrillekha all are ीं. Paramathma in conjunction with Maya is Ha.
Sound originates from here.
The letters अ आ इ ई उ ऊ, and 6 “M” ( Hunger, Thirst, Sorrow, Ignorance, Decay, Death )
originate from Ha.
She is सिवता and गायि .
Having studied about Maya let me move to self. Atman is best described as not this.
Brahman is the only deity to be worshipped and Brahman alone is qualified to receive
worship. I am the knower of Gods. Since Gods are known they are not Brahman.

Everything is Brahman or pure intelligence. A drum is beaten. It produces various notes of
sounds . We hear the holistic sound and not individual beats. Hence we say all notes are
included n the sound. The notes has no separate existence apart from sound. Similarly Maya has
no separate existence apart from Atman.
Similarly nothing particular is perceived in the waking and dream states apart from Pure
Intelligence.
I am an Individual separate from Brahman vanishes. This self is beyond relative attributes
such as hunger. The relative existence of the self is but a delusion caused by its association with
limiting adjuncts such as the body and organs, which are but the modifications of name and
form. That which transcends hunger and thirst. It is not affected by human misery, being beyond
it.
Desire arises due to ignorance. The body and. organs of the deity of the earth are regularly
made to work or stop work by the mere presence of the Lord as witness. Such an Isvara,
called Narayana, who controls the deity of the earth, i.e. directs her to her particular work, from
within, is the Internal Ruler about whom you have asked, your own immortal self, as also mine
and that of all beings. 'Your' implies 'others' as well. 'Immortal,' that is to say, devoid of all
relative attributes . He is the Internal Ruler, your own immortal self. Everything else but Him is
mortal. It does not eat anything, nor is It eaten by anybody.
