AUDITION MECHANICS:

Registration and Participants Eligibility

1. The competition is open to all parish-based choirs endorsed by their parish priest. Each parish may send maximum of
two (2) choirs to officially represent them. Choirs from the host parish (St. John Bosco Parish Makati) are not eligible
to join.

2. The members must be between 15-39 years old. Each choir shall only have maximum of 16 members, excluding the
conductor.

3. The choir must prepare 1 choice piece of any genre, but choirs are encouraged to render any Religious Acapella Choral
Arrangement about “Parish as Communion of Communities or Parish as an Instrument to Community Building”
during the Audition.

4. The choral group must submit the following upon registration:

a) A non-refundable registration fee of Php 2,000.00 per group
b) Registration form, duly accomplished and signed by the parish priest
c) Complete group photo
d) 4 set/Copies of the Audition Piece

Note: A soft copy/scanned copy of above requirements must be emailed to sjbmomca@yahoo.com on or before
April 20, 2017.

5. Registration forms are available online at SJB MOMCA Facebook, or a request through email at
sjbmomca@yahoo.com. Payment of fees are to be directed to:

6. A briefing of all participating choirs will be held on Saturday, 6 May 2017 at 2pm at the Audio Visual Room 3 Floor
of SJBP Building, all requirements must be submitted in hard copies.

7. Only finalists who have submitted the complete requirements by 2pm of May 6, 2017 will be included in the Audition
List and will be allowed to attend the briefing. Any choir with incomplete requirements will not be considered and will
be disqualified to participate in the Live Audition Process.

8. The Audition Proper will be held in 2 sets: 10am to 12nn and 1pm to 3pm (depending on the number of confirmed

participants) on Saturday, 13 May 2017 at Audio Visual Room, 3 Floor, St. John Bosco Parish Building. Time slot will
be offered on a first come, first served basis. Priority will be given to the first registrants who will be able to email the
complete set of requirements and paid the registration fee. Order of performance will be determined during the
briefing.

9. The choir will be judged using below criteria:

VOCAL QUALITY (Tonal quality, choral sound, harmony & blending) 50%
MUSICALITY (Musicianship, Style and Interpretation of the piece) 40%
OVER-ALL IMPACT (Performance and Presentation) 10%
TOTAL 100%

Note: The judges’ decision is considered final.

10. The result of the audition will be posted on May 14, 2017, thru SJB MOMCA Facebook page. Individual score results
will be emailed to the group who joined the audition.

11. Only maximum of eight [8] choirs will be selected to join the defending Champion (Coro Amadeo) in the Grand
Finals to be held on Saturday, 19 August 2017 at the St. John Bosco Parish Church.

All finalists will receive a certificate of participation to be issued on the Audition day.
