A Memorial of Faith

TLF 32nd Anniversary

The Lords Flock Catholic Charismatic Community celebrated its 32nd anniversary on April 8,
2018. It started with the launching of traditional prayer balloons led by the elder, founder and
vision holder Sis. Techie Rodriguez with Fr. JC Gallora doing the honors of releasing the
balloons skywards with hundreds of prayer requests attached. Bishop Ontiongco graced the
event by officiating the thanksgiving mass inside the Sanctuary. He congratulated the
community for its 32-year journey with the Lord, describing the wealth of experience,
guidance and blessings that the community gained through the years as more precious than
pearl.

After the mass, the Psalm Ministry filled the Sanctuary with “oldies” praise and worship
songs from the 80’s. Songs like “Pagkagising sa Umaga” and “Making Melodies in My Heart”
brought back fond memories of the early faith-building years of the community. After the
joyful songs and dances, Sis. Techie delivered a short message to the community centered
on 1 Corinthians 15:58 to remind everybody of the on-going work of the Lord that is being
accomplished through the efforts of everybody in the community.

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always
give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the
Lord is not in vain.” - 1 Corinthians 15:58

The highlight of the event was the drama musical that followed. Entitled “A Memorial of
Faith” it was a talent-filled portrayal of the biblical events in the Bible that served as guiding
stars of the community since its founding in 1986.

The musical showcased the Lords Flock life living in faith with Jesus as the One who take
care of everything and in control .

 The “Woman at the Well” was a musical skit performed by the Stewards that
reminded every one of his/her life changing encounter with Jesus.
 The musical dance of the Trainors about the Pentecost was a reminder once more of
how the Holy Spirit changes us.
 The children of the Small World dance performance portrayed Jesus’ love for
children and the need for everyone to be like children.
 Sheepfold’s ”Wedding at Cana” emphasized the importance of “doing whatever He
tells us to do”.
 The “5 Loaves of Bread and 2 Fishes” by the Pastoral delivered a refresher about the
multiplier effect of love and faith-driven sharing.
 New Gen’s ”Fishers of Men” gave the community another look at the foundation for
its elder’s vision and our mission.
 Finally, the Execom’s rendition of “We are People of Faith” gave a summary of
everything the community does, from the roots to the fruits.

Congratulations, Lord’s Flock! You have become a People of Faith because you have let
God mold you to be so. As People of Faith, God will continue to use you for His work. Be
confident, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until
the day of Christ Jesus. - Philippians 1:6
