Pre-post survey Lesson Outline/Procedure: Include each of your learning activities 1. Introduction 2. Hand out survey, ask student to write their definition of bullying 3. Present information about harassment, intimidation and bullying. a. What is HIB b. What isn’t HIB i. Difference between conflict and bullying 4. Activity: Have student separate scenarios into categories: rude, mean, or bullying. a. Reflect and have students explain their reasoning for why they put certain scenario into certain categories b. Make sure by the end of the activity that all scenarios are place into the appropriate category 5. Questions. Allow students to share. Reflect as a group 6. Discuss different types of bullying a. Physical bullying, cyber bullying, emotional bullying, etc. 7. Consequences of bullying a. What will the school do? b. What can YOU do? 8. Assertion vs. Aggression 9. Post survey Plan for Evaluation: How will each of the following be collected? Process Data: Attendance Perception Data: Students complete a survey at the beginning of the lesson defining what bullying means to them. Students complete a post survey answering the same question at the end of the lesson.
