Director - Business & Legal Affairs, Original Animation (Film & TV)

This role is based in our Los Angeles office and will report to the Vice President of Business &
Legal Affairs, Original Animation. You will advise on legal affairs for all of our kids and family
animation matters. The scope of this role includes leading our animation production legal
team, and supervising contract administration, casting administration, and other legal
functions related to the development, production, and acquisition of animated film and TV
content for kids and families. You will advise on legal issues and help develop forms and
best practices for the Original Animation, Business and Legal Affairs team. You will serve as a
critical legal partner for all of our animation production groups at Netflix, including for
feature films, kids’ television, preschool, and international originals, as well as for cross-
functional teams such as labour, employment, IP, finance, and tax.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have at least twelve years of business and legal affairs experience in
film and/ or TV, and preferably at a major motion picture production studio. Confidence and
expertise in legal affairs, including above-the-line and below-the-line talent agreements, and
production services agreements is required. Strong drafting skills and a keen eye for detail
are required. Experience with content licensing is a plus, but not required.

Video Editor, Product Studio

As Product Studio Editor you will be partnering with internal creatives, cross-functional
teams and freelancers to create stunning and impactful promotional assets for titles within

The Role:
 Video editors are responsible for the kick-off, creative development and execution of
title level trailers and subsets of promotional videos.
 Must have a strong voice for creative direction and crafting narrative short form
assets. No script, No Copy, No boundaries
 Clearly able to communicate artistic vision with partners or bring ideas to life with
freelance editors.
 Troubleshoot toolset inefficiencies and collaborate on post-production optimizations
 Work closely with a group of peers to efficiently scale asset suites and collaborate on
creative
 Collaborate cross-functionally with various other internal organizations to address
needs of multiple teams and uses

Qualifications:
 5+ years in an editorial / post-production capacity (studio, agency or freelance)
 Expertise in non-linear editing platforms (Adobe Premiere)
 Basic knowledge of motion graphics authoring software (After Effects)
 Knowledge of online / offline production workflows & re-conformance of proxy to
full-resolution footage
 Ability to manage self-manage and organize workloads around tight deadlines
 Strong oral and written communication skills
