1. Essay:
The more the world becomes advanced, the more facilities which help human
significantly in every aspect of life are invented. Additionally, it is thought that
compared with human’s needs of relaxed time, the amount of time people do not
have to work per week is not enough. Therefore, it is suggested that there should be
a reduction in working time so that people could spend their days off on their hobby
activities or with their families. I partially agree with that statement.
With the assistance of modern technology presently, working for long hours no
longer means that the task is being done efficiently. For example, instead of handing
out the assignments directly at the office, staff can send them at home via emails
without having to go to their workplace thanks to the Internet. Conducting a survey,
for instance, is also able to be done on the Internet through several applications such
as Google Forms, Typeforms, etc. so that the surveyors do not need to go out for
asking people. Hence, just staying at home, people still work effectively which might
make them feel more comfortable than working at the office. Moreover, this helps
decrease the time needed for travelling to work and people therefore can have more
time for leisure, relax more after a hard-working day.
Besides, there are several ways that the employers can use to increase the relaxing
time for their employees. Firstly, they should create regulations related to flexible
working time in order to encourage staff work more sufficiently, such as going home
early when the tasks are finished. Secondly, using specific time shift is also useful
which create choices for workers in their working time. Last but not least, employers
should have some incentives boosting the productivity of their workers like giving
them more days off if the work is done well.
To sum up, thanks to modern technology, people are able to work less time than
normal but the performances are still great. By helping workers have a suitable time
working, making the working time more flexible and improving the workers’
productivity, managers can not only increase the work rate but also the free time of
employees.
