This portfolio is one of the great activities that I’ve been do and
also the last portfolio of my Senior high school life. I am so thankful
for this school year for all the spectacular, very stressful experience
and achievement of what I have done for 30 days of job immersion.
I’ve learned so many things not only related with my course,
Computer System Servicing NC2 but also changed several of my
expectations in life.
Hence, I’d like to express my greatest gratitude to our God of
Father and to our Savior Jesus Christ Who gave me strength,
health, food life and etc. in able for me to undergo and finish my
immersion days. I would like also express my greatest thanks to our
most supportive teacher, our very own Mr. Abdul K. Silongan who
give this unforgettable task, opportunity, and trust in taking this Job
Immersion at Fatima National high School in able our skills may
enhanced to be great.
I also thank my family who always is at my side to guide, care,
love, and support to all of my financial and given their trust on me. I
would like also acknowledge my friends, best friend, love ones,
classmates and teachers who teach, guide and support me in all of
my problems and always at my side to help me in case. I am glad
that they understand me very well.
To John Kenneth Morales, my co-OJE trainee’s thank you for
the moral support and the moment’s we’ve shared together within a
month. You guys really are nice to be with and I’m happy to have
you.
 Introduction

On the job training/immersion are part of colleges curriculum but now we have K-
12 program that is now part of the Senior High School that aims to train and orient
students about the work and their future career. OJT is very important not only to teach
students their chosen career but to show students really about working. It will be your
training ground, if you still have no idea on what is mean to be a worker, this immersion
will you at least 10% of career realities.

“If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” As a student, having experienced

the 240 hours of work simulation (applicable for Technical-Vocational students only) is
not as easy as we think it could be. It can be full of hardships as we are new to this and
certain adjustments have to be done. Work immersion is a key feature in the Senior
High School curriculum and refers to the part of that consists of 240 hours of hands-on
experience or work simulation which Grade 12 students will undergo to expose them to
the actual work setting and to enrich the competencies provided by the school.

But due to limited working site, I am assigned to our school’s computer

laboratory. Aside from its convenient, it is accessible and less expenditure.

The said learning experience that the students can get from it will surely enable
and help students as they familiarize themselves with the workplace simulation and
apply their competencies in their particular areas. The completion of work immersion is
a prerequisite to graduation under the K-12 program.

Most students have taken their OJT for granted, not realizing the importance. It
can bring in their future career. Having a good performance during the immersion is
very important especially now that there’s a tight competition towards seekers and high
qualification of companies.
