My plan to stop a world issue

The object of this project was to first choose a world issue and then make people aware of that

issue, I choose somali piracy. Now my task is to try to help resolve this issue and form a

plan step by step to make change. My plan in a general way is to help raise money in a

controlled way with the government of somalia so I can help send funds to help their

people who are struggling. I think the community should get involved because people

need to realize that in order for things to change we need to take action and although

somali piracy may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you want to help

someone it is still a cause that needs support by people in order for change.

Somali piracy was a major topic in the news a couple years ago and had some attention brought

to it but it was never resolved. Now it has little to no attention by any news outlet but it

still occurs quite often and is not considered important enough for any coverage even

though people are getting hurt and killed all because we forgot about them and never did

anything to help them when we new about it. The current plan we have installed is

military action in a small way. We trained navy ships and had them have a special team

made in order to deal with piracy. This teams job is to stop the piracy by capturing those

who try to do it and stopping those who are doing it by any means deemed necessary.

Because of this we have stopped/ discouraged many people to not commit these acts of

terrors. But with this we create another problem.

With this action plan we may stop piracy but we don’t actually help the people who are basically

forced into piracy because there government is not fully formed and cannot support its

people. For this reason my plan is going to involve helping those who are having the

ideas to start terrorist acts just to survive.
