Pediatric Nurse
● Pediatric nurses are Registered Nurses (RNs) who care for
children of all ages in a variety of healthcare settings.

● They usually care for infants, children, and adolescents who suffer from chronic
or acute illnesses and conditions. Pediatric nurse practitioners usually provide
basic pediatric health care and may have a specialty, such as neonatal care or
acute disease treatment.
Education / Training
To become a pediatric nurse you need to take courses in high
school that help you become a nurse. For example, anatomy,
physiology, microbiology, chemistry, nutrition, psychology, and
other social and behavioral sciences, as well as in liberal arts.
You also need a Bachelor's degree in college.

● The work environment is to provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients

When I am older I want to be a pediatric nurse because I love working with kids and
enjoy being around them. This job means you have to help kids when they’re sick
and to cheer them up. I would love to put this job in my hands in the future.
