Introduction

Businesses nowadays are in the process of evolution because of technology. Year by

year, new technologies are born to assist businesses from simple to complicated tasks. This

may include in the production, accounting, sales and inventory, management or even in

decision making. Companies are starting to employ lesser employees because of these

technologies that are available in the market. Since this is the new trend for this current

generation, even small businesses also adapt to this for the reason that technologies are

now becoming cheaper and affordable and they also want to make their business more

profitable and easier to manage.

Sales and inventory system is a method used in businesses many years ago to help them

track and record their sales transactions and manage the inventory of their products. But in

those days, this system was done on papers and file keeping. Employees do the tasks

manually in papers to make this system work. The tasks are very time consuming, record

keeping was tedious and cause a lot of office space, errors are in higher rate and it cost a

lot of money just to keep up the sales and inventory of the company. This was what the

companies do before computer systems emerged.

And now, even small and midsize businesses can find affordable inventory

management software to meet their needs. Inventory management software has been

decades (even hundreds of years) in the making. As future system developers, we aim to

be a part of this revolutionary movement for the better sales and inventory system for the

next generations.

Project Scope and Delimitation

This system aims to help Lady Ann’s Bakeshop for their sales and inventory transactions.

Expected features are sales related tasks, basic inventory management, reports or any other

related functions will be applied in this system. Other features may be added depending on

the client’s demand. This system will not include complicated accounting related features

because this system is limited for sales and inventory purposes only.
