Lithosphere?

Stage 2: Assessment Evidence

Performance Task

G – Students will have a concrete understanding on what areas of the world have the
susceptibility to earthquake.
R – Students will work in groups to analyze the questions given and formulate an
answer.
A – Each member will share their answer on the questions given during activity.
S – Depends on the number of students in the class, it will consist of 3 groups.
P – Each group will answer the following questions based on the Plate Boundary Map
indicated on their activity sheets.
S – Each group scores will depend on the number of correct/wrong answers they will
get during checking their work.

*The activity sheet is attach on this lesson plan.

Other Evidence

- Recitation
- Homework
Stage 3: Learning Plan

1. Introduction to Essential Question. Allow students to answer the essential

questions according to their prior knowledge.
2. The class will arrange the World Map based on the indicated boundaries on it.
3. The class will have an activity called “Let’s identify the boundaries” and they will be
divided into 3 group. Each group will have different set of questions to answer based
on the figure indicated in the activity sheet.
4. Each group will present their work in the class and they have 3 minutes to discuss
their answers.
5. There will be a brief discussion on the motion of different plates.
6. Students will try to answer again the Essential Question based on what they have
learned on the topic.
7. The class will have a homework on the details of recent earthquake events happen
in the country based on Phivolcs data.
